Welcome to the story of my life: a Professional "Job Hopper" who went from Hairstylist to Makeup Artist to Wall Street Stockbroker to Legislative Director. Throughout, I learned a lot from each of these careers, and some were very lucrative, and each profession helped to shape me into the person that I am today. and for that, I am forever grateful for all the knowledge I gained, along with the insight and intricacies into each field. Nonetheless, I was never content, I was forever searching for something more, more rewarding, more purposeful, more noble.
For years, I knew that there was something missing, I could feel it. I could sense that I wasn't contributing in a meaningful way, in a way that made me feel pleased with what I was doing with my life. Consequently, there was always this lingering void I felt, and I knew deep down that I was unfulfilled and dissatisfied with the trajectory of the career choices that I had made thus far in my life. But then one day, everything changed, the day I finally begun to listen to that little voice inside of me that was always quietly whispering in the background. Instead of ignoring it, as I often did, I decided to sit quietly and listen and when I did. BOOM! I received what I call 'a download' from the Universe, I really don't know how else to describe it. As a result of that phenomenon my whole life changed, it was the catalyst that led me on a path of self-discovery. and deep inner exploration. Throughout my healing journey many truths have been revealed that were either hidden = (in denial) or went unchecked = (no self awareness), that I am now aware of and work to improve on, on a daily basis. Coincidently, my self-healing journey, also uncovered my greatest passion for helping others. Amazingly, that is what I do today, I am blessed to be able to support, encourage, inspire, champion and strengthen individuals on their own journey of healing. Thus, I am more fulfilled in this profession than any other, because I have the honor of witnessing another's transformation and personal growth and "AHA" moments firsthand. One thing is for sure, we are always seeking knowledge, growth and to better ourselves, not just for ourselves, but for our family and loved ones as well.

It's important to know more of what brought me here. My story might be common to some and uncommon to others. My story is not without its challenges, heartbreak, devastation and obstacles, all of which challenged and tested my strength, resilience and perseverance. From becoming a teenage mother, to facing constant bullying, sexual assault at a very young age, and the devasting loss of my mother due to a fire, the loss of my father to dementia, the loss of my sister to AIDS, and the loss of her daughter (my niece) to an overdose.  I've also had to face family dysfunction due to sibling rivalry on account of perceived "favoritism." I've overcome so much in so many years. Despite all of this or in spite of everything that has occurred in my life, like I stated above, this road has led me down a path of personal growth and development, through doing the work on 'ME', I gained emotional fortitude and mental toughness. But it was not easy; by far the most difficult work I have ever done and I'm still doing. But it's all worth it, every teaching moment and every learning lesson that I discover about myself, enables continuous inner growth. My hope in telling my story, is that it might resonate with others, in order to help them on their journey to healing.
